The Tennessee Department of Human Services is preparing for an EBT vendor conversion, which will cause the service interruption, according to a news release from the department.

From Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11 p.m. Central time to Sunday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. Central time, EBT cardholders will be unable to use their cards for food and cash purchases or withdrawals. The EBT Customer Service Helpline (888-997-9444) will offer limited support during this time.

“We want to emphasize that this is a temporary outage, and our team is committed to restoring services as quickly as possible,� the news release states. “We encourage customers to plan ahead to minimize any inconvenience this may cause.�
